The Backgroung
With today’s work, the first part of the background is complete. There is still work to do, but I think that the idea is clear. I like the light; I think it is very appropriate for this piece. Now I can start to work on the subject.
At the same time, I’m trying to put together the scene for the next one. It looks very good in my mind, but I haven’t figured out how to make it also look good on the screen. I hope I’m getting there. But it’s a continuous set and reset; it’s very time-consuming. I hope I’ll be able to finish it. It wouldn’t be the first time that I like an Idea in my mind, but for some reason I can’t get it right on the screen. The good thing about my painting definition style is that before I start to actually paint a new subject, I can have a very good idea of how it will look at the end. Even if most of the time the final work doesn’t look at all like on the screen.
